Green Bingo Finally Arrives
I was wondering when an online bingo site would get around to supporting the “Green” message. Now I am no avid tree hugger, but I do believe in saving trees and the power of the internet, getting the greening message out there. I have already seen this in an online casino, and liked the message they were putting out. I am so proud to say that one of my favorite online bingo sites is now promoting “GREEN”.
All Bingo Club is going to be giving you ₤5 free and plant a tree. Yes it does rhyme, and it is in keeping with the kind of ecological awareness that we should all be practicing these days. Every new player that signs up with the site in October will be responsible for planting one more tree on this fragile planet of ours, through the auspices of All Bingo Club. They have pledged to plant enough trees to offset the Carbon Dioxide emitted from all new players’ computers. Apparently an average PC releases as much as 135 kg of CO2 annually.
I didn’t even know that CO2 was emitted from computer screens, so there I have learned something! The only thing I don’t understand though is that CO2 is used by plants to make food; they turn it through photosynthesis to produce Oxygen. I suppose it is all about balance, if there is too much CO2 and not enough trees then the balance goes out.
Anyway there are obviously all kinds of ecological implications to having too much CO2 in our atmosphere. So whatever the scientific implications, I know that planting trees is good. And it does my heart good to see this promotion running at All Bingo Club. You will probably be hearing a whole lot more about this from me during the coming month.
