General Information about Aquapay

It has been brought to my attention that quite a lot of players have had issues with Aquapay, who are a payment provider for quite a few online bingo sites on the net. After reading quite a long list of complaints from bingo players about Aquapay, I wanted to try and do something more to help them, as they say having the knowledge to sort a problem out, gives you the power back and hopefully helps to put you in control of the situation, after all this is your cash we are talking about.

Have a read of some important facts that you should be aware of relating to Aquapay.

Closed Accounts

If you close your bingo account down for any reason and had registered a payment method with Aquapay through the bingo site in question, your card details will be kept on file with them. This is for anti-fraud purposes, but something you should be made aware off.

Unauthorised Transactions

If you do suspect that an unauthorised transaction has been made on your credit or debit card, your first port of call should be to let the bingo site in question know about this. Your next port of call should be your bank, as you will need a letter from them detailing the unauthorised transaction. One thing you do need to bear in mind when making transactions online using your debit or credit cards is that the date you made the deposit into your bingo account, won’t necessarily be the same date that is showed on your statement. For example, if you was to deposit say £10 on 1st March, this may show on your bank statement as going through on 2nd March. Transactions do tend to show a day later on your bank account, rather than the actual day you made the transaction on. With this in mind, it might be worth noting down any deposits you make using your credit or debit cards online.

Expired Cards

Please, Please, make sure that you remove any expired credit or debit cards from your bingo accounts. A simple email into the bingo site in question or popping into their live help rooms and requesting them to remove the card from your account is all it takes. I have seen it time and time again where Aquapay have refunded a withdrawal to an expired card, even though the player used their current card to fund their bingo account with. This causes all sorts of hassles for the player in trying to get their money back, remove these cards and this issue will not arise.

Processing Withdrawals

When a withdrawal is request with bingo sites on the net that use Aquapay as their payment provider, the withdrawal itself will usually sit in your bingo account for 48 hours, during this time you are able to reverse the money you requested to be withdrawn, which will then be put back into your bingo account. Whilst I don’t agree with this rule, the facts of the matter are this is how it works. Once the 48 hour period has elapsed the refund back to your card will be processed, this can take anything up to 7 days from then to reach your bank accounts, depending on who you bank with.  You should also receive an email from Aquapay, informing you that the refund has been made to your bingo account.
